And then our big tv blew it's bulb last night. What is going on here??? Luckily Dave was able to buy a new bulb and replace it himself. We would have bought a new tv if we did not have to spend thousands of dollars on the new ac. I personally prefer cold air to television. And then one of our toilets broke. It just keeps getting better. The pool is doing something crazy too. I am sure it will require some major repair soon enough. I miss the days when we rented and the landlord had to handle all of these things.
We went to Roy’s last night for their 10th anniversary dinner. Roy was there. We met for the second time. I told him he was my Twitter buddy. Because we tweet each other a lot. He was not impressed. I am kind of disappointed. People should be honored to be my Twitter buddy. He was nice but he rushed off to talk to other guests. I have yet to decide how I feel about this. I have to say this was the worst meal I have ever had at Roy’s. The service was still great. And the food was not bad. It was just not food that I like. For the anniversary dinner they have a preset 5 course menu. This consisted of octopus (Dave is probably still gagging over that one bite he took), crab stuffed tortellini (it was okay but not something I would order again), Ahi tuna and macaroni balls (the mac was yummy but I despise tuna of any kind…it just taste bad), pork shank (I actually had to send my first one back, it was all bones and fat…no meat. That made it kind of hard to eat the 2nd one they brought me although it was mostly meat), and finally beignets with mocha chocolate dipping sauce. If you remember my trip to Café DuMonde then you know I don’t really like beignets It is fried bread and I am not a fan of bread. These were slightly better than the Café DuMonde but still not something that I would willingly order. So for what it was I am sure the food was excellent. But I would never order any of that. I like Roy’s regular menu a lot better. And their New Years menu is to die for…lobster everything!
There were 4 Porsches parked in front of Roy’s last night. And ours was the cheap one. Poor Diamond Dave…but he cheered up when the valet told him that his drove better than the others. The valet did not realize the others were $250,000 cars. Don’t you think if a car cost that much it should drive like you are floating on a cloud?
And on a happy zombie note…We are going to Halloween Horror Nights on Thursday. I am kind of in the mood to be chased by zombies with chainsaws. And afterwards we should be returning home to a cool house.
