Bring on the Holidays!!

We finally made it to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Sunday night. It was packed. We had fast passes and still waited about 20 minutes on some of the haunted houses. Without the fast pass it would have been 60-90 minutes. That is madness. They sold out of fast passes but the lady at the ticket booth really took a liking to Diamond Dave and gave them to us anyways.

We made it through 7 of the 8 haunted houses. We had the time to do the eighth one but I was so sleepy and done with things jumping out at me. The 3D house was pretty impressive this year. It was kind of intense to have monsters and goblins really jumping out and trying to grab you and then also being in 3D. And it freaks me out when they hang from above and try to grab you. They also started to hang these almost invisible strings from the ceiling. That is really creepy when you can feel but it takes a minute to actually see it.

My favorite house was the holiday themed one. Each room was a different holiday that went horribly wrong. We are talking Santa’s elves beheading Santa and then coming after you with their toy making tools and chainsaws. In the Arbor day room there was a giant killer tree that chased after you. Yep…that really happened. Made me laugh, not scream.

Halloween was pretty uneventful. We had several trick or treaters. One kid walked right in the house. He almost knocked me over. But he was maybe 6 so I just laughed.

Now to start prepping for Thanksgiving! I am actually staying in Orlando until Christmas. A miracle, right? So that gives me lots of time to prep. Mom and Dad are supposed to come down from Nashville. And I am hoping Mimi, Michael and Suzanne join us as well. If everyone makes it I am going to have to put the tree up the weekend before just to show it off. I am super excited about this! And I think I have decided that my little tree will be a peacock tree. Yep…that is going to happen.
