Busy Busy

I have not been blogging a lot recently. There is not too much going on around here. We are just busy with work and getting things done around the house. On weekdays I leave the house at 7:20am and most of the time don’t get home until about 7:45pm. So after making dinner and cleaning up there is not much time for blogging. But I will give you an update on what is going on around here.

Dave painted the garage walls and floors. So I have to park in the driveway (oh the horror) for 72 hours. And it got cold all of the sudden. It was 49 this morning. That is below freezing for us Floridians. I had to use my seat warmers. And because of the drastic change in temps my tire pressure light is on again. I hate that light. It scares me. This would not have happened if my car was in the garage. Cars belong in garages. Despite our neighbor who think the garage is an additional room in their house. It is for cars…not tv’s and sofas. That is tacky.

In the process of emptying the garage Dave somehow managed to get all of my Christmas stuff down from the attic. And he refuses to put it back. So I guess we are decorating this weekend.

We have been trying to get our screen enclosure fixed since March. We have been through about 7 screen companies. They either don’t call us back or don’t show up to the appointment they scheduled with us. It is one screen that needs to be replaced. They could do it in 20 minutes. What is going on here? You would think if you run an ad for your business that means you want new business. Apparently it does not. That screen needs to be fixed so Dave can repaint the patio. And this has to be done next week so that we can have Thanksgiving dinner outside. It will be a perfect 75 degrees out. We need to enjoy it. Anyone know of a reliable screen company in Orlando???

I am still waiting to see who all can make it to my Thanksgiving dinner this year. I think it may actually be more than three of us. Not that we don’t love our little Thanksgiving dinners with Mimi…because we do. I have all sorts of things planned for the menu. I am most excited about the Twinkie Pie. And I thinking about making a Krispy Kreme bread pudding. We are real health freaks around here…can’t you tell??? I have yet to decide what I want to do with the turkey.
