Turkeys and Shopping

Apparently I am missed in the blogging world. I had 3 people tell me today I need to get back to blogging more than once a week. How sweet…ya’ll miss me. I promise to start blogging more again. I have just been so busy.

I have a million things running through my mind right now. I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner on my own on Thursday. There is only going to be 5 or 6 of us. So it is not a huge group. But I am making a pumpkin cheesecake, twinkie pie, corn cake, sweet potatoe soufflĂ©, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash casserole, and a turkey. The cranberry sauce is coming from a can. Deal with it. I already have all of my wine chilling and I found a pumpkin flavored cheese spread. Don’t worry Dave… I got the regular garlic and herbs one too. I usually make deviled eggs too but Dave told me once that he does not like them. He just eats them because they are there. So no eggs this year. I still need to figure out what kind of bread or dinner rolls I want to serve. I have table decorations and everything ready to go. My housekeeper cleaned the house today so that is all done too! Yay! Now someone just has to get the outside ready.

I am still trying to come up with a game plan for Black Friday. I really want to go to the Millenia and Florida Mall. I am thinking I will get out around 7am. There are a lot of sales that end between 10a-12p. I might go to Toys R US on Thursday night. I don’t really have a particular item to buy but with all the nieces (the little ones...Sydney, Emma and Madison...don't worry Kayli & Cheri I am not getting you toys for Christmas...unless you want toys) and nephew (well....technically a grand nephew...or great nephew....I am not sure how you say that....let's just call him Hopper,,,that's our niece Kayli's little boy) I am going to need some toys. And I might be ready to get out of the house on Thursday night. I need a mount for my new TV in the bedroom. They are normally $80 and Best Buy will have them for $30. But there are only 6 per store. I will stop by just to see if they have any left. But I am not about to camp out over night to save $50. Actually….I would pay $50 to not have to camp out over night. I refuse to go anywhere near the outlet malls this year. I am not a fan of stupid people and that is where they congregate.

Whew! That is all I got for now. I will be sure to take pictures on Thanksgiving just for you!

I updated the post to clarify the nieces and nephew. Of course I a have a nephew!! His name is Hopper and he lives in Boise. He is my grown up niece Kayli's little boy. He is about 2 1/2 now. I guess I have not blogged about him a lot because I never had the pleasure of meeting him. But hopefully that will change soon! He is the cutest little thing!

I'm so impressed (and a little jealous) you're hosting the tgiving meal this year. I will be in North Carolina (I live in Florida) with family. I won't be doing any cook ...I will probably be reading on my Kindle right up until I get to stuff my face.

On your comment - I totally get the Macy's credit card thing. I've been considering getting the Marshall's/TJMaxx one because I shop there so much. And I keep everything paid off...ok I'm back to justifying it. ha ha.

Love,
B
