The Greatest Show on Earth

Last night we went to the circus.  It was fun.  I have not been in over 20 years but it is exactly how I remember it.  It was definitely designed for kids but we still enjoyed ourselves.  So before I get into my photo recap I have a questions for you.  Do people loose all sense of common courtesy when they have kids?  I am assuming this will all make more sense to me when I have kids.  But I could not help but notice parents lack of respect for people who are not there kids. They would walk in front of you in the middle of the show and just stand there for like 10 minutes.  Their kids would spill drinks on people and they did not even apologize or offer to help clean up.  What is wrong with people???  They seemed to have an attitude like "screw everyone else, my kids are all that matter".   Yes, your kids are very important.  But you don't have to completely disregard the rest of the world and be rude to put your kids first.  When I am at Magic game and I want to give up I wait until in between plays to do so.  Is it too much to ask that you do the same at the Circus...you know, given it is not some type of child emergency.  Okay...on to the fun stuff.

OMG...I want to hug them all.  The big lion in the middle kept giving the guy kisses.  I want lion kisses!

I need a pet tiger.  But then PETA would protest in my yard.  I would prefer to have no association with PETA.  So I guess I won't be getting a pet tiger anytime soon.

I know this looks like a bunch of blurry nonsense.  But it is a dude jumping through a flaming hoop made of knives.  It was awesome.

The set up looked a lot like the Britney Circus of 2009.  You know she was the ring leader, she called the shots.

Look who we ran into...our niece Madison.  Love her!!

That is a poodle on a tight rope.  I could not make this stuff up.  Kitties are going to have to learn some new tricks.

And now the goat is walking the tight rope.  He fell off the first time. Silly billy goat.

Shhhh...the elephants are napping.

Elephant pyramid.  There were elephant protesters outside the arena.   I know it seems cruel to keep elephants in captivity.  They are so big.  They should be running free in the plains of Africa.  But if you set these guys free in Africa and they started making elephant pyramids in the Sahara the hyenas would laugh at them and the lions would eat them.

That is EIGHT motorcycle dudes in that ball.  It was madness.

And this was the big dragon finish.  A little disappointing if you ask me.  But I was still in awe of the poodle and the goat.
All in all it was a fun night.  $15 for 2.5 hours of circus fun.  You can't beat that.  I recommend you check it out when it comes to your town.

I'm shocked Diamond Dave didn't get in there with the lions and tigers!
