Do you ever have random flashbacks of movies you watched as a kid? And then have nightmares about them? I do. The following 3 movies were my parents idea of kids movies. I call them horror movies.
Imagine a girl who is mad that she has to babysit her baby brother. So she pretty much sells him to the devil. And by devil I mean David Bowie. So then she decides she needs to get him back and has to go through this never ending maze of goblins and creepy little monsters that can take their heads off. All the while being tempted by devil David Bowie. That is the Labyrinth. Seriously...this is not for kids.
Did you know there was a sequel to the Wizard of Oz? There is. It is called Return to Oz. Only this one will terrify you. Everyone in Oz turned to stone. And it is now run by an evil queen who has a collection of heads and changes hers out daily. What is up with the removing of heads??? There are creepy monkey men on wheels and a flying couch with a talking moose head. It is just all around creepy. And Dorothy seems to have gotten younger. I do not recommend you ever watch this one.
Long before the Lord of the Rings my Dad used to rent us the cartoon version of The Hobbit. That movie terrified me. It was that silly precious thing. He gave me nightmares every time. And when I found out there was going to be a real life version of him...well, I could not even watch the previews. Cartoons should not be this scary.

I loved Return to Oz! Pretty sure I wore out the Beta tape.
I LOVED the Labyrinth! A babysitter let us watch it and it was one of my favorite movies. My brother and I thought the "bog of eternal stinch" was hysterical, ha!
